As General Manager of both Comercializadora Maria Graciela Ortiz Salinas E.I.R.L and the Chilean Seaweed Center S.A., she has led ground breaking projects in bioplastics, biofertilizers, animal nutrition, and phycocolloid extraction. Her career spans international collaborations with scientific institutions in the U.S., France, and Asia. She is also a founder of CIDTA (Center for Algal Development and Research) at Universidad Catolica del Norte. Recognized as one of Chile's "100 Leading Women in Economics and Business," she has received national innovation awards and served as President of APROAL A.G. and APEC delegate. With academic foundations in marine science and environmental management, her work exemplifies the integration of scientific research, entrepreneurship, and sustainability in marine resource development.
