Maria Graciela Ortiz Salinas is a seasoned Marine Biologist with over 30 years of experience specializing in macroalgae cultivation, sustainable marine biotechnology, and blue economy innovation. As General Manager of both Comercializadora Mari­a Graciela Ortiz Salinas E.I.R.L and the Chilean Seaweed Center S.A., she has led ground breaking projects in bioplastics, biofertilizers, animal nutrition, and phycocolloid extraction. Her career spans international collaborations with scientific institutions in the U.S., France, and Asia. She is also a founder of CIDTA (Center for Algal Development and Research) at Universidad Catolica del Norte.
